In 2015 Jessica Keener Photography got to photograph in some inspiringly beautiful places, including their first International wedding. From Hawaii to Curacao, and everywhere in between, check out the love and joy below!
Mike and Jennifer got married on the gorgeous island of Curacao, located next to Aruba. This was my first International wedding and boy was it awesome! The ceremony took place on a private beach at the Avila Hotel. We took wedding party photos at the hotel and in the surrounding neighborhood of Willemstad. Jennifer's friend and bridesmaid Jessica designed all of the flowers and hair pieces. Such a beautiful day!
Last week I went on a little last minute adventure to Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. One of my favorite things to do in the PNW is take the ferry. It's a beautiful ride on the water from Anacortes to Orcas Island. Some highlights of my trip included sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding for the first time, spotting over 14 deer, and hiking in Moran State Park. You can take whale watching boat tours up in the northern part of the island as well, and I hope to do that next time I visit. Enjoy some of the highlights of my trip below that I captured with my iPhone.
I don't think I've ever photographed a more relaxed couple on their wedding day. Maui just brings a carefree attitude out of everyone. Steven and Leah got married by the water in Puamana, just outside of Lahaina. It was a gorgeous, warm sunny day, and friends and family came together from all over the world to celebrate love.
Steven and Leah got married on the gorgeous island of Maui. The day before the wedding, we drove up the coast of the island to shoot the wedding party photos. We had a lot of fun playing around along the beach front at the Hyatt, then exploring some of the amazing Honolua Bay Cliffs. Surfers were catching some pretty big waves below us. Then we snuck our way into a field to throw some paper airplanes. Overall, a great time photographing!
Steven and Leah had the cutest first look. Steven kept saying "I can't look yet, I can't look!" from all of the anticipated build up of seeing Leah in her dress for the first time. Needless to say, when he finally turned around he was quite impressed. Leah had one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen. Enjoy their lovely first look below.
