Sirens & Cider • Capitol Cider • Seattle, WA

I had the privilege of photographing a harvest inspired farm-to-table style event at Capitol Cider featuring all local Seattle female chefs. The talent was endless and all 6 dishes were works of art. Each dish was created based on the Alpenfire Ciders they were paired with. This was the first of an event series. Feel like you missed out? Stay up to date on future events here!

The chefs:

Sara Harvey – Chef De Cuisine, Capitol Cider Kaleena Bliss – Chef De Cuisine, Mistral Bobbie Mollenberg – Sous Chef, Spur Mac Jarvis – Chef, Ernest Loves Agnes Katie Gallego – Sous Chef, Orfeo Emily Young – Chef De Cuisine, Old Sage

Let's Go on an Adventure • Isla Mujeres, Mexico

Recently I got to take a trip to Isla Mujeres to photograph a few luxury real estate rentals. While I was on the island I got a great taste of Mexican culture and am now in love with the beautiful water and relaxed vibe. Just being there makes you feel completely rejuvenated. A few favorite restaurants:

Lola Valentina- A very solid cuisine across the board. Great for dinner and wish I had gone for brunch because the menu sounded amazing.

GreenVerde- try the fish tacos and fresh cucumber "lemonade" (made out of limes).

Elements of the Island- Delicious and very reasonably priced breakfast. Best fruit I had on the island and the people who work there are incredibly nice and accommodating as well.

Foodie Fridays • Early Girl Eatery • Asheville, NC

There are few things I love more than brunch. Early Girl Eatery in Asheville, NC has consistently impressed me. One of my favorite dishes is the "Early Girl Benny", which is two grit cakes topped with tomato, spinach, poached eggs, tomato gravy and fresh avocado. A delightful southern take on a brunch classic. Check out this southern charm in downtown Asheville, NC!

Foodie Fridays • 167 Raw • Charleston, SC

167 Raw Fish Market and Oyster Bar was unbelievably delicious. The lobster roll was so fresh and the lobster was the star of the sandwich, very sweet and soft which contrasted well with the crispy buttery roll. The guy next to me said it could be described as nothing less than "sensual" and I could not agree more. Beautiful platters of fresh seafood on ice filled the restaurant around me. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of this small oyster bar; light and inviting, with all bar seating. Be prepared to wait, but definitely well worth it. As a party of 1, I waited 20 min for lunch. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant if you're visiting Charleston, SC.

Foodie Fridays • Fonda La Catrina • Georgetown- Seattle, WA

Fonda La Catrina is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle. Located in the heart of Georgetown, this place will really win you over. From the fresh horchata & guacamole, to the homemade tortillas, my mouth just salivates thinking about this place. I really love their chorizo too.

Best horchata I've had in the U.S. IMG_8295

Foodie Fridays • The London Plane • Seattle, WA

The London Plane was endlessly delightful. From the airy space, to the fresh and delicious food, this place made me happy.

The London Plane

Located at 300 Occidental Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104, in Pioneer Square, this spot is great for business people downtown to come for lunch. The London Plane

In addition to serving amazing, healthy food, they have a small floral section and mini specialty items shop as well. Cook books, letterpress cards, and adorably packaged delectables adorn the shelves.
