Recently I got to take a trip to Isla Mujeres to photograph a few luxury real estate rentals. While I was on the island I got a great taste of Mexican culture and am now in love with the beautiful water and relaxed vibe. Just being there makes you feel completely rejuvenated. A few favorite restaurants:
Lola Valentina- A very solid cuisine across the board. Great for dinner and wish I had gone for brunch because the menu sounded amazing.
GreenVerde- try the fish tacos and fresh cucumber "lemonade" (made out of limes).
Elements of the Island- Delicious and very reasonably priced breakfast. Best fruit I had on the island and the people who work there are incredibly nice and accommodating as well.
Fonda La Catrina is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle. Located in the heart of Georgetown, this place will really win you over. From the fresh horchata & guacamole, to the homemade tortillas, my mouth just salivates thinking about this place. I really love their chorizo too.
QUESO FUNDIDO Melted monterrey cheese in a hot skillet with corn tortillas, avocado, cured onions and pico de gallo, with chorizo added.
Mmm mm mmm guacamole!
The London Plane was endlessly delightful. From the airy space, to the fresh and delicious food, this place made me happy.
Located at 300 Occidental Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104, in Pioneer Square, this spot is great for business people downtown to come for lunch.
In addition to serving amazing, healthy food, they have a small floral section and mini specialty items shop as well. Cook books, letterpress cards, and adorably packaged delectables adorn the shelves.
Now on to the food! We shared an assortment of spreads with homemade bread, seasonally inspired salads, and pork shoulder.
I'm bringing Foodie Fridays back to my blog! First up, The Wandering Goose, located at 403 15th Ave. E Seattle, WA 98112 in Capitol Hill. What a charming little place.During the daytime, natural light streams into this airy space. The tables are covered with words from The Wandering Goose story and there are touches of southern charm everywhere.
The Wandering Goose is open every day for brunch and on Fridays they do a special fried chicken dinner. Talk about southern charm. I especially love their biscuit sandwiches and what they call the "Bubble and Squeek".
